Notes:
– This pattern is written in US terms (find a stitch conversion chart here)
– Gauge is not important for this pattern
– This decorative accent will fit a mason jar that is approximately 12 inches in circumference at the widest part
– Turning CH 1 does not count as a stitch
– To adjust the length of the band, CH any number of even stitches. To adjust the length of the ties, CH any number of stitches
– Due to the nature of the stitches used in the daisy petals, you might find they slightly twist which can create a fun, whimsical look. If you would prefer to have the petals appear straighter, blocking the daisy accent before attaching to the band can be beneficial

CH 1 (does not count as a stitch) and place 8 HDC into the circle. SS into the top of the beginning HDC and fasten off leaving a yarn tail approximately 3-4 inches. The longer tails from the beginning and end of this round are used to attach the flower to the band later.

Join white yarn into the top of any HDC stitch with a SS and CH 7. Working into the 2nd CH from your hook, place 1 SS followed by 1 SC in the next CH. Place 1 HDC into each of the next 4 CH stitches. SS into the same HDC stitch as the first SS of the petal.
