I’m happy to share the V-Stitch Bracelet with you today! This pattern was originally published as a paid only bundle in June 2021. I have recently updated the designs and will be releasing them individually in my Etsy and Ravelry shops and offering them for free here on my website.
This design is a fun project to make for festivals, concerts, market tables and as gifts! Make one (or a few) in your favourite colours or to match a special outfit. Find the free pattern below…

Notes:
– This pattern is written in US terms (find a stitch conversion chart here)
– Gauge is not important for this pattern
– Turning CH 2 counts as one DC stitch
– Turning CH 1 does not count as a stitch
– Special stitch tutorial for single crochet together (decrease) is included
– This pattern is for a small sized bracelet (approx. 6 ½ inches long). It can be customized to your wrist size by extending your row count to the length you require. Please note this will increase the yardage required
Materials Needed:
– Approximately 10 yards of super fine weight 1 yarn (I used Scheepjes Catona). You can also get creative by making versions using any weight yarn although for best results, up to DK weight is best. Some options are: Lion Brand Coboo, WeCrochet Curio, Lion Brand Truboo
– 3.5mm hook (I used the hook from my cute Dots set)
– Yarn needle
– Scissors
– Measuring tape
– Sewing thread or embroidery thread with appropriate needle to match
– 8mm button
Stitches:
YO – Yarn Over
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
SC2TOG – Single Crochet Two Together (decrease)
DC – Double Crochet
Special Stitch Tutorial:
SC2TOG: Insert hook into stitch. YO, pull up a loop (2 loops on hook). Insert hook into next stitch. YO, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook). YO, pull hook down through all 3 loops on hook.
Pattern:
CH 4
Row 1:
Into the second CH from your hook and each stitch across, place 1 SC. CH 1 and turn.
(3 SC stitches)
Row 2:
Place 1 SC into each stitch across. CH 2 and turn.
(3 SC stitches)
Row 3:
(Turning CH 2 counts as one DC) Into the 2nd stitch, place 2 DC. Make 1 DC in the last stitch. CH 2 and turn.
(4 DC stitches)
Row 4-18:
(Turning CH 2 counts as one DC) Place 2 DC in the space between the next 2 DC. Make 1 DC in second CH of the turning CH 2. CH 2 and turn for all rows except row 18. After completing row 18, CH 1 and turn.
(4 DC stitches)
Continue this row repeat to make your bracelet longer. The last row of DC will need a turning CH 1 instead of CH 2. When appropriate length is reached, continue below
Row 19:
Into the first stitch, make 1 SC. Make 1 SC2TG. Place 1 SC into the second CH of the turning CH 2. CH 1 and turn.
(3 SC stitches)
Row 20:
Place 1 SC into the first stitch. CH 2 and SK the next stitch. Place 1 SC into the last stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.
(2 SC stitches, 1 CH 2 space)
Attaching The Button:
With your needle and thread, sew your button between rows 1 and 2 in the centre. Secure thread and fasten off. Your button should fit snug and secure through the CH 2 space from row 20 once placed around your wrist.
