Crochet neck warmer patterns are one of my favourite things to design. They often work up quickly and don’t use a lot of yarn which also makes them great stash buster projects. They are fabulous for market prep, stocking your online shop, gift giving or simply as a treat for yourself.
The Cozy Travels Neck Warmer is a fun design to work on. Crochet this piece in two colours as is written in the pattern or simply keep it one solid shade. Both options create a simple, textured design that is perfect for keeping warm and cozy on those chilly fall days.

Furls was kind enough to contribute this yarn for my design idea. Have you crocheted with Furls Wander? This was my first time working with it and I was quite happy with how it worked up. Because I always like to share my experience working with yarns, I have also written a review for it! You can find here: Furls Wander Yarn Review
My pattern testers were so helpful and shared some beautiful photos of their completed Cozy Travels Neck Warmer. Check out their versions below…
Notes:
– This pattern is written in US terms
– Gauge is 2×2 inches = rows 1-5 containing 6 stitches in each
– Turning CH throughout the pattern does not count as a stitch
– Beginning CH 1 in the edging counts as a stitch
– Special stitch tutorials are included within the pattern
– This pattern is worked flat and seamed at the end
– Laying flat, the finished neck warmer, seamed and with edging measures approximately 15 inches long and 9 inches wide
Materials Needed:
– Approximately 202 yards (total) of worsted weight acrylic yarn in two colours. I used Furls Wander yarn in the colourways Cobblestone (Colour A) and Thatch (Colour B)
– 5mm hook (My Streamline Ebony was a dream to use with the Wander yarn)
– Yarn needle
– Scissors
Stitches:
CH – Chain
SK – Skip
SS – Slip Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
Special Stitch Tutorials:
Crossed Double Crochet Stitch – For this pattern, SK one stitch and place 1 DC into the following stitch. Place 1 DC into the stitch you just skipped over. It will create a criss-cross effect with the first DC in the back and the second DC in the front. A photo example is provided at the end of the pattern for reference.
Working In The 3rd Loop of HDC – The 3rd loop is found at the back of the stitch but will be facing you when you need to work into it. It is below the traditional “V” shape found at the top of the stitch. A photo example is provided at the end of the pattern for reference.
Lemon Peel Stitch – The lemon peel stitch starts with an odd number of chains OR multiples of 2 plus 1. It is made by alternating SC and DC stitches, always ending on a DC. Detailed Tutorial: Click here

Rows 19-25:
Repeat rows 1-7. Fasten off but leave a long tail (approximately 40 inches) for seaming.
Seaming:

Edging:
(With yarn colour B)
Begin at the seam and attach yarn with a SS and CH 1 (CH 1 counts as a stitch for the edging). Place 1 SC into each stitch around. SS into the top of the beginning CH 1. (90 SC stitches) Fasten off and repeat for the second edge. Weave in all ends.
