Materials Needed:
– Approximately 87 yards of Bulky Weight 5 yarn. I used Lion Brand Two of Wands Hue + Me Chunky Wool Blend in “Agave”
– Approximately 38 yards of Super Bulky Weight 6 yarn. I used WeCrochet Fable Fur in “Andesite”
– 8mm hook
– Yarn needle
– Scissors
– Measuring tape
Stitches:
CH – Chain
SS – Slip Stitch
SK – Skip Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet
Special Stitch Tutorial:
Moss Stitch: Row 1 is made by making 1 SC, CH 1, SK 1 stitch across the row (ending with 1 SC). For row 2 and beyond, repeat row 1 but the SC stitches are worked into the CH 1 space of the previous row.
Detailed Tutorial: Click here
Pattern:
CH 20 and begin row 1 in the 2nd CH from your hook.
Row 1:
Into the 4th CH from your hook, place 1 SC. CH 1 and SK the next stitch. *Make 1 SC, CH 1 and SK the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * 6 more times. Place 1 SC into the last stitch. CH 2 and turn.
(9 SC stitches, 9 CH 1 = 18 stitches)
Row 2:
Into the first CH 1 space, place 1 SC, CH 1 and SK the next stitch. *In the next CH 1 space, place 1 SC, CH 1 and SK the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * 6 more times. Place 1 SC into the space between the last SC stitch and the turning CH. CH 2 and turn.
(19 SC stitches, 9 CH 1 = 18 stitches)
Repeat row 2, 58 more times for a total of 60 rows. After completing the last row of the project, do not CH 2 and turn. Fasten off and leave a long tail for seaming.
Seaming: (Photo A)
Bring the two short ends together and with the yarn tail, seam them together. I like using the invisible seam but please use the method you are most comfortable with. Some other options are using a slip stitch, single crocheting or using a blanket stitch. After seaming, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Edging:
(Complete for both top and bottom edges. Working with faux fur yarn can be challenging. When you make your first HDC, place a stitch marker in the top of the stitch to mark where to place the SS after completing the final HDC.)
Tip: There isn’t a particular space for working your edging since you are crocheting into the sides of the stitches from each row. Simply place your HDC stitches into spots that create a neat and even distance (photo B).
Beginning at the seam, join yarn with a SS, CH 1. Place 1 HDC evenly around the edge. SS into the beginning HDC. Fasten off and repeat for the second edge.
