Notes:
– This pattern is written in US terms
– Gauge is 2×2 inches = 3 rows of SC with 3 SC stitches in each
– Finished scarf measures approximately 51 inches long x 8 inches wide
– Turning CH does not count as a stitch
– Although the recommended hook size for the yarn I is 8mm. I used a 10mm hook to create a looser
drape and stitch
– Special stitch tutorial is included within the pattern
– Instructions for extending the length of your scarf will be included at the end. Please note that doing so will increase the required yardage

Materials Needed:
– Approximately 218-219 yards of Bernat Softee Chunky (two 100g skeins)
– 10mm hook (I used my Furls Streamline Ebony hook)
– Yarn needle
– Scissors

Stitches:
CH – Chain
SS – Slip Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet

Special Stitch Tutorial:
Even Moss Stitch – In the first stitch, place 1 SS. Make 1 HDC into the next stitch. Repeat across the row, always starting and ending with SS. Detailed Tutorial: Click here

Pattern:
CH 14 and begin row one in the second CH from your hook.

Rows 1-10:
Into the first stitch place 1 SS. Into the second stitch, place 1 HDC. Repeat this alternating stitch sequence across the row, ending with a SS. CH 1 and turn.
(7 SS, 6 HDC = 13 Stitches)

Row 11-15:
Into each stitch across, place 1 SC. CH 1 and turn.
(13 SC Stitches)

Repeat rows 1-15:
5 more times

Row 91-100:
Repeat rows 1-10 (Do not CH 1 after the final stitch of the last row. If you would like to extend the length of your scarf, see below. If you are finished, fasten off and weave in ends.

Extending Your Scarf Length (Optional)
If you would look to extend the length of your scarf, simply continue the sectioned repeats you have been crocheting (rows 1-15). Your final segment should be 10 rows of the even moss stitch to match up with the first 10 rows of the pattern.
