Because this project is based mostly on your own measurements and pet size, this isn’t really a pattern per say; it’s more of a walk through on the basics of how it’s made. For example, my cats have a particular window spot that they like to sleep in when the sun is out and shining through. I made this mat to fit in that space. You might have a more open area like in the corner of the living room so perhaps your will want to make your pet mat a little bigger. Mine measures about 19 inches long by 15 ½ inches wide. Let’s begin and make a crochet pet mat.

Are you ready for the easiest crochet hat pattern? The Striped Herringbone Hat is a wonderful project for beginners because it doesn’t involve increasing or decreasing. It’s worked up as a flat panel and stitched together at the end. In fact, this was the first crochet hat one of my pattern testers made and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Don’t feel intimidated by the name either! If you don’t know how to create the herringbone half double crochet stitch, I will teach you! Everything you need to know is in this post so let’s dive in!

This mini crochet drawstring pouch is super cute and a fun beginner project! It uses the basic stitches and has so many uses. Made with acrylic or cotton worsted weight yarn, it’s a small project that would be ideal for stash busting or if you’re looking for some ideas to fill up a basket on your market table.
Originally published in 2019, this mini drawstring pouch has received a refreshing update in April 2023! This pattern was first called the “Simply Striped Drawstring Pouch”. It has been updated to be more beginner friendly using only one colour throughout the bag. If you prefer the striped version, simply change yarn colours each round. The stitch counts and instructions remain the same, the only real difference is the layout of the pattern has been updated to reflect my current designs.

We are just a few weeks into January but I’m seeing a lot of talk about Valentine’s Day. I know it’s not until next month but for makers like us, we often like to plan and prepare ahead of time. We like to figure out what to make for upcoming holidays and special celebrations, and gather all the yarn and materials needed for those projects. This is my first pattern release of 2020 and is a great little project for any skill level. It takes about an hour to make and is perfect for handing out to friends or a special someone.
As of February 8th 2022, this pattern has received a refreshing update with new photos and layout. Find all the details below…

Today I’d like to share with you the Bobble Row Cowl. A free crochet pattern that uses only two stitches: bobbles and herringbone half double crochet. If you are not familiar with those stitches, I have included a quick written tutorial to guide you along. I used Red Heart Super Saver Ombre for this cowl and it took approximately 3/4 of the skein. The pattern is very flexible should you want to make it a little long or shorter for your personal preference.

It uses very little worsted weight yarn is a quick project to make when you’re busy during the holiday season. Add these little ornaments to your tree, gift giving or market tables!
